Employee scheduling is easy with the new ‘When I Work’ app for Android & iPhone

We’ve been working hard to take the hassle out of employee scheduling by creating tools that are a snap to setup and a joy to use.

We’re ringing in the new year with brand new lineup of mobile employee scheduling apps for iPhone and Android. Our mobile apps now offer a native mobile experience with nearly all the functionality found in our web app. Our Android users will notice the biggest improvement as we’ve rebuilt it from the ground up. The iPhone app has some great new perks, too.

Android users can now enjoy full management of employees, shifts, locations, positions and sites. Employees can get directions to thier shift’s job sites and managers can publish their schedules and filling open shifts is a breeze. Employees can also update their profile and notification settings while on the go to ensure that they stay up-to-date. View and approve time-off requests and stay on top of employee shifts swaps and drops to keep your business running smooth even when not in the office.

The iPhone app adds full editing options for employee availability. Managers can also review and adjust an employee available from their iPhone. We’ve also added in-app-purchase to the iPhone app. This allows customers to subscribe to whichever When I Work plan works for their business.

Both apps offer a much better registration experience for employees. Employees can register for their employers When I Work account by simply selecting ‘New Employee Account” and entering their employers account ID. This should make things easier for employees that are exposed to When I Work for the first time via the free mobile apps.

From your iPhone or Android, install the app now via this link: or text yourself a link here.

We’ve got a lot of incredible things planned for 2013 and we’re looking forward to surprising you with some fresh approaches to solving the challenges of labor management.
