Help us keep employee scheduling free for small businesses

Web-based employee scheduling software2012 has been an exciting year for When I Work. One of the things that I’ve always considered special about When I Work is that, since our launch in 2010, we’ve been able to offer our employee scheduling software for free to small businesses with 5 or fewer employees.

We’re committed to maintaining the free version of When I Work, but there are some costs that are creeping in and I’ve been looking for ways to manage them while keeping it free for so many of the small businesses that are using When I Work. Namely, the biggest cost is text messaging. We’ve considered removing text messaging from the free version, but we’d really like to keep the free version feature rich.

Here’s what I’ve come up with. One of the best ways we can grow the When I Work audience is by encouraging other websites to link back to wheniwork.com. So that’s what I’m thinking. If you’re currently using the free version of When I Work, would you be willing put a link to wheniwork.com on your website or blog’s homepage? Just a simple link somewhere on your homepage would help drive new users to wheniwork.com and help make When I Work the authority on employee scheduling software. With the added traffic, we’d be able to justify keeping the free version available.

So that’s it. If you have a website or blog, I invite you grab one of the snippets of HTML code below and add it to your homepage. If enough people help out, we’ll be able to grow our audience and keep When I Work free for small businesses.
